Alan Parker Urban Warrior, "probably the most left-wing person in the country", is the creation of Simon Munnery. In 29 Minutes Of Truth, Alan Parker aims to subvert the system, support the oppressed, and bring about revolution with reports on the state of the nation, songs and radical ideas. Throughout, Alan is thwarted by his own egotism and ignorance, displayed in a succession of badly-informed rants and his treatment of assistant Hammond/Stu (played by Stewart Lee).

The target of the humour in this show is not left-wing ideas but rather the arrogance and posturing of people like Alan. 29 Minutes of Truth ran for two series of three episodes each in 1993 and 1994, with a 1994 special live show, and a 1996 Christmas special.
