What A Carve Up! [TV Version]

A sitcom project for C4 which is currently in development...

Jeremy Dyson (The League of Gentlemen) is adapting Jonathan Coe's satirical novel What a Carve Up! for Channel 4. Published in 1994, the novel is an attack on the Thatcher era, based around a writer who is commissioned to produce a biography about a right-wing upper class British family obsessed with making money, often in dubious ways. In 2005, the story was adapted for Radio 4 by David Nobbs, with Robert Bathurst taking the lead role. This new TV project is currently in development with Big Talk (Black Books, Free Agents) but has yet to be formally commissioned by C4.
