After You've Gone wasn't the best sitcom ever but it was quite funny and certainly better than the other major family sitcom i.e. My Family. The Christmas special was far better than the My Family one which was really quite boring. Why couldn't they have cancelled My Family instead?

I think My Family just got more consistently high viewing figures. Pity. Hopefully something new will come along and strike that same kind of mainstream chord.
