Freaking Jesus, that really is very very cheap. I am massively tempted.

Carry On Christmas £3.99 on Amazon and The Hut are selling it for £24.99! My copy just arrived.

Neither of those two links are bargains.

Not as such, but they're the cheapest that I've seen.

Knock a tenner off The Trip and you'd still be paying only a reasonable amount for it.

Not comedy (well...) but the remastered original Star Trek DVD boxed sets are on Amazon for £13 each. Not bad considering there's 20-odd eps in each series.

I got series 1 a few months back, even though series 2 is my favourite. I messed up on the ordering! The new effects are mostly very good, not earth shattering perhaps but it does look better in Space now. However I was quite shocked at how cheap and flimsy some of the sets were! One of the alien monsters was merely a man in a fur coat. Poor.

Notable comedy buys for me last year were two series of Dad's Army, I'm Alan Partridge series 2, Jonathan Creek series 1&2, haven't got round to viewing yet, a couple of films, the R&M remake of Randall & Hopkirk, haven't opened yet, but the one I've enjoyed most by far, as yet, series 1 of Lovejoy.

My first of 2011 is Steptoe & Son series 8, on its way. This will be extremely hard to beat, being one of my fave all time series. Waited for the prices to come down on all of these.

I've always been impressed by just how well Star Trek has held up over the years. Sure, there's some creaky effects and monsters, but for solid and interesting stories it's still hard to beat.
