Well there doesn't seem to be a thread for this TV programme and loads of you seem to watch it.

I watched it the other day and they mentioned a Novelist I hadn't really been aware of called Bret Easton Ellis.

From his novels he really seems to be obsessed with Elvis Costello.

Less Than Zero (1985) - a Stiff single and album track.
The Rules of Attraction (1987)- the name of his backing band.
American Psycho (1991) - He recorded a song called Psycho as a B side.
The Informers (1994)
Glamorama (1998)
Lunar Park (2005)
Imperial Bedrooms (2010) - title of an album in the 1980s.

I used to watch it religiously (in my dirty vicar's outfit), but when Oldrocker did a spoiler over the then £25K + jackpot I stopped there and then.

Bit pissed off at the time, but now thank him as it made me realise that I was wasting so much time on a quiz that, when I thought about it, I didn't really care that much about.

I still enjoy it. If you're still working when you get home it's a good way to settle down relax.

I agree they're old but I don't seem to have seen these before.

The Chase is a bit too just General Knowledge whereas Pointless is more smartarse and satisfying when I get pointless answers.

There was one question recently where I think I had a pointless answer they didn't mention. it was name England footballers who have won over 50 caps. My answer was Rachel Yankee. I don't think they specified male.

Ha, good point! My guess for that was the only footballer's name I can ever think of - Gary Linekar.
