why is anyone voting Green? They have no realistic policies or more importantly any policies realistically that are going to win seats.

You're literally throwing your votes on a bunch of lefty windbags, listening to the music of their own self righteous, flatulence.

I quite like the idea of not being made homeless, not having to use a food bank, being able to have something of a pension and having a couple of miles where I can see leaves rather than concrete. It does, though, go a bit deeper. Given a choice between living in a communal shack in the new rural townships and the opportunity to purchase Windows 10 etc, I will, when push comes to shove, be choosing the former. It isn't just the fact that only the first enables survival. I prefer the aesthetics.

In a world based on rational economic principles the Greens would be mostly right. It is just that in an insane asylum it is madness to expect sanity to triumph.

In any case in my rock solid Tory constituency it is wasted vote whichever box I cross. And I despise the other parties so much more.

There's so few of them, that people running for them and supporting the same it's pretty much one and the same.

That's vaguely the idea, most likely we'll all be queuing at the food bank together.

Though with no modern agriculture or super markets we'll probably all be eating each other anyway.

All set for a wine-fuelled session hurling abuse at the TV. They've hidden the hammer from me.

Isn't eating each other neo-liberalism? Most folk are being swallowed whole.

So why, you may ask, isn't there revolution?

The clever bit is that they won't really see it for as long as they are sold the joys of oral sex.

Problem is most folks have never had it so good.

Most people rent or even own their own home, with electricity, running water, food at the supermarkets they can afford, a job with a reasonable wage.

The hysterical it's all shit attitude smacks into a brick wall of reality like a well thrown egg.

The problem is two fold' one focussing on a smallish but significant number of people who fell through the cracks and the ConDems are bullying relentlessly and pointlessly. Secondly the current generation have things worse than their parents, who had it better than anyone else.

What is needed is a relative minor adjustment to the machinery of state.

Not wooly headed and frankly lazy paranoia.

It's a rare occasion, but I agree pretty much wholly with you there, sooytj.

Thanks, I guess it's a case that the older you get the more conservative your beliefs.

The more you see of the world, the more sensible you get ;), and the more you see it in truth rather than unrealistic and unworkable ideals. :)

That's true. Socialism is for the naive young or the bitter and twisted.
