I'd like to be a film maker professionally in the future, but I'm having problems getting seen by people. What I'd like to know is, Would you watch something similar to this?

You should make what you want to make. I understand you're looking for feedback and that's fine. But asking people if they would watch this, well that depends on the person. You might get a load of people saying no, but that doesn't mean there isn't an audience out there.

I would offer feedback, but I can't play videos at the moment. Will try again later.
 

It's ok, well put together, but I didn't I don't think it's anything new.

You should probably have an older person, get your dad or an older mate, to play the dopey part, it doesn't really work with you playing both parts.

Good job though, keep going.

Thing is I live in Spain... I do have a few friends, but they have no interest whatsoever in this sort of thing.. And my Dad juts can't do acting or anything similar to it. It's actually a bit of an inside joke with a few of my older friends... I once said that I can't rely on anybody, and I'd do it all by myself. and I did. It turned out alright! XP

I think the idea is a bit so-so, but the film making is excellent.
The shots are well composed, it's nicely paced, the music works well - and getting the sight-lines right when you're talking to yourself, as it were, is no mean feet.
And it's nicely cut together.

Ever thought off shooting other people's stuff?

Thanks, my main problem is the idea-making, I've no problem with the technical, but thanks anyway!
You know, I would, but you just don't get that sort of thing over here. There is a film university about an hour away from me, but it turns out they're in serious debt with a lot of people. But other than that, there just doesn't seem to be a need for anything as far into media as this. The most some eone wants is a photo session with some friends.. It's a real shame.

I liked it and didn't think you playing both parts was a problem, I've done the same in some short sketches too. It perhaps took a little long to get to the funny stuff - ie a potato instead of a controller - I'd trim the script at the start a bit and make more of the absurdity of the premise.

But yes, agree with others about technical stuff, sound and shot selection all good.

Yes.

A brave effort I reckon. Definitely stick with making films.

In terms of constructive criticism, some of your editing on this vid could be tighter as a couple scenes could have been shortened but as I don't think you've been in the business for 30 years man and boy I'll let you off.
