Charlie Higson has tweeted that The Fast Show is to return, most likely on 14th November. However, Mark Williams is not taking part.

These are Internet thingies, part of the same strand that did the Vic and Bob shorts earlier this year.

Simon Day hinted this a couple of weeks back so I had a feeling an announcement was coming soon.

I'm surprised they're doing the same characters. Harry and Paul did very well for itself starting from scratch. Hope they draft in Lucy Montgomery and a lot more Felix Dexter for this series as well.

I was excited about this news until I read that it would be online. As much I enjoyed the new Partridge episodes with Foster, I just couldn't get into them properly because I was sat watching them on a laptop screen, complete with the obligatory delays whilst the bloody things loaded. Am just thankful they're being shown on telly next month.

I might wait for these new Fast Show episodes to be shown on TV before I give them a go, if/when they show them...

.. this could answer the question for some ... "Is The Fast Show Timeless Comedy?"

Great memories of life in the 90s and The Fast Show was a big part of it, so hope they do us proud with this new offering (web or otherwise)
