Retirement home comedy - that's a good idea. I wonder why nobody from here had come up with that one.
Be good if they take a look at Jerf's Hippodrome Heights for inspiration
I can't see the reason in being logical

It has one funny bit: 'Pheeb', and that's it.
It's awful. If I hadn't seen Hulk, it would be the worst film I'd ever seen. And Bottom is supremely ace.
Dan
I would agree that Guest House Paradiso was pretty awful. Compared to how great Bottom is, the film was a big disappointment.

No Mr Bond, I expect you to die.

I think GHP is brilliant.
Brilliant that is until it gets to the bit where all the guests get food poisoning and start throwing up everywhere.
Tedious, repetative and annoying end to the film.
Love the 'serve the salad undressed' bit!

Dont mind Caroline Aherne but I don't think her show will top Nightingales
No chance! Nightingales was a classic. It'll be interesting to see what they do with it though. I'm guessing there'll be no werewolves...

After The Young Ones, Mr Mayall said his next project would be 'exploring new fields'. Check:
The Young Ones - manic self-obsessed Rik.
Filthy, Rich and Catflap - manic self-obsessed Richie.
Bottom - manic self-obsessed Richie.
What's next?
PS I love Rik Mayall.
Did you miss "Beleive Nothing" - Professor Adonis Cnut?

Ade Edmonson has mentioned this retirement home idea before - saying they would like to do it if they live into their sixties. I hope this recent comment is a more serious commitment to doing it - there's nothing quite like Rik and Ade and we need them back!

This is just SivoxII's question again, and it seemed to get a straight 'no'. I don't think we're getting anywhere in this thread.
