Spasticus autisticus by Ian Dury

Legend. And everyone needs legends. Except Oscar Pistorius, he needs leg ends.

Lucy In the Sky With Diamonds-The Beatles

Yerse. Many people consider 'Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds' a veiled reference to LSD, and this convinces me. I'm sure that if John Lennon was gonna put LSD in a song title, he'd come up with something as smooth and incongruous as 'Lucy, IN THE Sky - tall girl - and there just happen to be some DIAMONDS up there too...' See what I did, Paul? Clever innit? D'you think anyone'll notice?

I'm not scared by the Pet Shop Boys.

One of my favourite ever songs including the Patsy Kensit cover version.

Ah, thank you. All the blood rushed to my head. Patsy Kensit was up there with Susannah Hoffs as one of the the first ladies to remain fully clothed and still merit my juices. Well done!

Makes a great case for ending TOTP:

Mystery pick time! Classic track!

Can hear some similarities with the Horrors - saw them live recently, and just got hold of "Luminous".

Interesting outfit!

I was watching the Nocturn live DVD from about 1983 earlier

Brilliant show

Souxsies voice is absolutely incredible

Saw her/them at the Albert Hall, around 1978; I remember being pleased that they played a T Rex song, "The Slider", just before they came on stage.

Looks like it wasn't '78, but was the show you watched on DVD, from 1983. Only five years out then. :)

Ah lucky bugger!

She did pretty well considering she was pretty much just a groupie and clothes horse for the Pistols

Loads of great songs, presumably co-written? Had some talented peeps around her, but a true original and talent in her own right. Performed again recently, didn't she? Wonder what it was like?
