On a £9m a year "rent".

That's about the same as a one bedroom flat in Chelsea.

I like teams that have at least 9 defenders.

George Graham's were fantastic.

They were quite dull though. Although when they won the First Division with the last kick of the season it looked quite exciting.

I don't think Manure can slag anyone off now for trying to buy success. They're just going back to their usual position of buying it themselves.

I really can't understand why no English clubs want Micah Richards. he was truly fantastic when he first broke through at 18 I think it was. He can't have gone off that much.

I admit to being no expert but, looking at the players brought in during the transfer window, how could anyone believe that the England team is going to improve over the next couple of years?

I think Welbeck might benefit.

Also possibly Micah Richards playing regularly against foreign opposition.

Standing in the rain, a match entirely lacking excitement, it would get to a feeling of "this is ludicrous" at
0-0 after 80 odd minutes and a "why are we doing this?". And there was a lot of laughter in it, with the bonus of exhilaration from a goal at 87, so that I often came away on a much greater high than from matches played with flair and lost 3-1. As for the news on Welbeck, it's ok, but Theo will be the answer.

I think Arsenal need a proven goal scorer rather than someone Wenger can mould. Maybe Hernandez would have been a better buy.

Still, Welbeck will get more opportunities to play at Arsenal than Man Utd. And showcase his clumsy feet.

One of the best pieces of business in the window I think was Mourinho managing to keep probably the best 2 goalkeepers in the world.

(I couldn't see anywhere that Cech had gone.)

The best bit of business was selling Luiz for £50 million.

I only found out this morning that Negredo had slipped out of Man City in the window. Not really sure why they've loaned him out.

Yes staggering piece of business for Chelsea that just shows you how naive and gullible some new super clubs are. He's Brazilian and got big footballers hair seems to be the criteria that told them he was worth 50 million. Wonder if they watched the world cup?

'You see that thing way down there?

That's called a goal and what you have to do is kick the ball into it. Everybody OK with that? You OK with it Wayne?'
