Again, wasn't laughing all that much through the main of it, but it was entertaining, and the last 5 minutes were very funny.


I'm now singing Joseph songs, mind...
 

It's really improving, I enjpyed this one alot more.

Love the Pennywise reference.
 

The start with the clown court was excellent! Very funny.

Oh yes, the courtroom scene was quite scary, the crowd of clowns, and the massive Punch.
Baby Freddie was scary too when he threw his bowl. Ace.

I never went in one of those ball pools when I was little.
Definitely need to one day.
 

Especially when you realise it's thickened blood she's feeding him.
The Jelly/Jolly twist was nicely unexpected, took a little while to get going.
 

I'm liking Dawn French very much. The doll coming alive is good.

The sausage chewing was awful but brilliant.

Their influences are coming through a bit clunkingly though - the doll coming alive is reminiscent of Dead Of Night, an old Ealing ghost anthology. And electrocuting the woman in the chair was ripped straight out of Theatre Of Blood, where the same happened to Coral Browne perpetrated by Vincent Price (but via hair rollers).

Theatre of Blood inspired the "We'll have no trouble here!" line in the League - Michael Hordern used that line in the film (an excellent film by the way with a wicked sense of humour starring Joan Hickson, Dennis Price, Arthur Lowe, Eric Sykes etc etc..)

There's a lot of adventure playgrounds that let adults book them for the evenings.

Check though they have a special net crane and pool to clean, or they'll be covered in piss.

You bugger. I thought I'd be the first to mention the Theatre of Blood link. Don't remember the line coming from it but will try to remember that the next time I see it. I wonder if there will be any other ToB type deaths.

Anyway, really good tonight. Excellent in fact.

I never thought it would happen but I finally have a can't miss favourite show. Already dreading what Thursday nights will be like when it ends.
 

That clown courtroom sequence was one of the weirdest things I've seen. And very funny too.

All pulling together quite nicely. Annoyingly, I and my friends were cut out of the audience shot for the pantomime, as we suspected (more focus on the kids).

Next week's should be a good one for two reasons:

1. 2 or 3 characters in one room for half an hour, with only one camera break.
2. The person playing the third character alongside David and Maureen...

I personally didn't like this programme. The first episode was good because it was so different but now I just find it bloody weird - something I've only ever experienced with BBC Three's Funland in 2005. However, I did quite like that (because of Kris Marshall and Sarah Smart).

That had the other two Gentlemen involved.

You love 'em really, you just don't know it yet. Don't be scared. Put the rubber pants on and come this way...
