Daddies-long-legs?

Possibly - but I don't suggest musing communally on the niceties of grammar when a terrifying gigantic thing with wings has just flown into the kitchen.

That's not a nice thing to say about Linda now she's gone.

Happy news for a change, it brings a tear to the eye and a lump to the throat to see the wonderful Flying Scotsman in full flow again, especially as it goes over the Ribblehead Viaduct with its contemporary carriages lit up.

Can I sue people for not employing me because my application forms show signs of a dyspraxic personality (ie much folded, maybe written with more than one pen)? Could be dangerous ground.

I take your point Paul, but there's no danger. As with all things legal, common sense and evidence applies. Can you prove the point you just made ? Can you evidence it wasn't possible to get help from a computer or scribe ? In the article above the woman was falsy accused of fraud and sacked. Her world fell apart due to the ignorance (or prejudice) of her manager. "Ignorance is at the root of all evil". Ignorance is the danger and this article is part of the cure.

Most job application forms are either online or need to be filled in by pen. Far from being common sense, fairness tends to be uncommon. But that's life, isn't it?
