UKIP twats.

Mike Reid is a twat.

Do you mean Mike Reid - from The Comedians and 'Stenders or Mike Read from Top of the Pops and Radio 1. I beat him once!

That was 10cc's most embarrassing moment and I thought so at the time.

"De Doo Doo Day, De Doo Doo Da"
Is all I want to say to you...

I think this is a glorious example of just how thick UKIP are.
The fact that they didn't see how a Caribbean accent (the traditional way of performing a calypso BTW) might cause offence, is indicative of their general bufoonery.

White Caribbeans speak with the same kind of accent you know.

I don't know, Chaps. Things move on don't they? The trouble is that you say that this never cause offence it does seem a bit Clarksonesque...

Not sure the average member of UKIP would know that!
They're not the sharpest tools in the box.

Could we write another calypso about us being offended?

Emergency Services speak . .

"A fire service spokeswoman said: "We received reports at around 5.41 on Sunday of a collision between two privately owned vehicles."

Look, imprecise news is of no use whatsoever.

Who the f**k writes this crap?

She's just average - like her husband.

"Channel 4 has commissioned a one-off 'What-If' drama, 100 Days of UKIP (w/t), exploring the effects of an imagined future in which UKIP win the general election in May 2015.

Raw TV is producing a fictional documentary about UKIP's first 100 days in power. Set in a possible future where Nigel Farage's party has continued its exponential rise to power, the film projects what could actually happen if UKIP were to gain power in next year's election."

I wonder if the programme makers will take into account the fact that along with UKIP's 'exponential rise to power', there's been an equally exponential drive toward moderation within the party? I would think that should Farage get into no. 10, UKIP would that time be little different to the tories.

Also, why does UKIP keep getting all this free promotion? Judging by the fact that they're doing rather well, it seems that all the bad-mouthing they've received in the past has been good publicity for them; they must be over the moon to hear about this drama being made, regardless of how much it will probably show them in a bad light.

I think it's easiest if one views them as what they are, a single issue pressure group masquerading as a political party.
They don't really want or expect to win, but simply get enough MPs to form a coalition with the Conservatives. With the soul proviso being an in/out vote. Or gain sufficent votes as to force this as an issue.
This makes them far freer and more flexible then the other parties.

Andrew Lawrence will be spitting feathers.

It would be better if they found something less obvious but far more likely. For example, people do realise that we will probably have a Scottish Nationalist as Chancellor after May 2015? What will THAT be like?!!

Not much different to any other chancellor. It's the faceless civil servants and Bank of England that basically run that department (and most others I suspect)
