I read the news today oh boy! Page 1,532

Let's have a family fun day out at Longleat Safari Park, what could go wrong? Oh no, our car has broken down. It could be worse, it could have broken down in the lion enclosure. Ah, well, we're safe in here. What's that? The car has caught fire? So perish in flames or be ripped apart by apex predators? Man, it really isn't our day today.

But heading up the economic policy of an entire country, maybe needs more than a mediocre background in journalism and a 2.1 in history.

In any organisation it would look like jobs for the boys.

But that is the Tory way - put the boys in jobs for which they are hideously under-qualified.

Just picking an example out of the air...MAKING A NON-LAWYER THE LORD CHANCELLOR FOR THE FIRST TIME SINCE 1672.

Incidentally, the last non-lawyer to hold the title was called the Earl of Shaftesbury. Which would be the perfect title for Failing Grayling.

I've no idea if he passed, don't much care either.

That and boo hoo, people being mean to him. Nothing compared to the shellacking Brown got over alleged mental health problems, actual blindness and a bizarre Mail obsession that he might be autistic.

Where do I line up to get my pitchfork and flaming torch? Are we all going to attack at once or will some villagers stay at the back jeering? How do you want to delegate work tasks? Odd numbers attack the scientist, even numbers the monster?

Those are safari park lions, bunch of apex pooftahs more like, they'd be too scared to rip open a packet of crisps.

Laughing out loud

I like the fact the lions refused to move because they wanted to gawp.

I haven't the foggiest idea what you're talking about, do you.

Osbourne's not been bad in some areas of the economy. He made the point that it's better to charge the rich lower taxes they will pay, rather than monsterous ones they won't.
A mistake Labour made over and over in the 60s and the 70s.

On the other hand things like the increase in student fees have been financially illiterate.

Just commenting on your total disregard and apathy for the truth surrounding the bit of lefty propaganda I highlighted. Angry villagers aren't really fussed about 'hard data'.

As a Labour supporter, bringing up student fees seems a little hypocritical - 'The decision signalled the end of the principle of free higher education and was met with concern by some in the Labour Party. Former Labour education secretary Ted Short said that he was ashamed to be a member of the party and Ken Livingstone accused ministers of "whipping away a ladder of opportunity which they themselves had climbed.'

My response was I don't care if he passed maths GCSE meaning I think neither more nor less about him.

As for university fees, in the end everyone except the greens and communists agreed fees were inevitable. Or else we'd end up like the rest of Europe with expensive uni's provided 3rd rate education and their brightest students flying off to the states.

The financial illiteracy I referred to was upping fees, when they couldn't collect them and they'd be written off.

Personally I'd advocate a simpler, more honest graduate tax.

And the Scots. Oh wait.

Ah the good old Barnett Formula, what reduced us poor little Englanders to the hard working wealth drivers of the union.
Basically Scotland gets an extra 1500 a year per person. So it's not unreasonable they spend it on free prescriptions and education.
Only fair I suppose since Thatcher seems to have gathered the profits from North Sea Oil in a big pile and burned it.

But as we won't be underwriting those loafing; Welsh, Scots and Ulsterites soon England will be able to afford it to.

What... the... actual... f**k.

Glasses with screens on the front of them, that display eyes that can show any emotion the user wants. So you can pretend you give a shit about what someone is talking about, while actually you could be taking a nap or something.

And obviously the person talking to you is going to believe the emotion being displayed on your cyborg glasses and not think you're completely strange.

Before you get into a panic that everyone is going to ignore you in future and you won't even know...these were made a researcher, not a big corporation putting them into production and the reason for their creation is because Japs are mad on making robots. In future, they want their robots to look and feel as realistic as possible including any emoting by the eyes.

Japan has such a weird set of elaborate courting rituals that most blokes dream of a day when they can just buy a sexbot. I don't blame them, I think sexbots are a good idea and could solve so many of humanity's problems.

Where did you get that from? EDIT: The bit about these being part of research into robots, I mean. Although his website says he's working on human-robot interaction so you're probably right: http://hiroosa.com/biography/

Also, a Spanish village/hamlet whose name translates as "Kill the Jews" has decided a new name might be in order.

so here's the latest weapon in UKIP's arsenal in their unstoppable march to victory.
All Rusty needs to do is to bend over in front of Farrage's boggly eyes, the electorate will think it's a 1970s style sitcom and vote them.
