And in response, I'd like to say how much I enjoy conversing with Jennie. Who I find terrifyingly intelligent, extremely well educated and very knowledgeable about all things, especially the law.

:)

I would like to add to the "boobs out in public" debate.

The DM are happy to print these pictures of boobs (some of them of very young women's boobs too)

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/femail/article-2607647/Incredible-photos-reveal-elaborate-hairdos-Himba-tribe-created-using-goat-hair-MUD.html

Pictures of celebrity boobs on the beach are not printed.

The photos of the Namibian Tribe are of course much more interesting. But other than that, I really don't see a difference between the two.

The disturbing thing is viewing the Himba ladies as more like interesting wildlife, as opposed to people.
Of course at that point, you've got to slate National Geographic, BBC natural history and all sorts of other supposedly good art.
I'd say the question is more about the weird things our society sexualises. Nudity isn't per se a sexual thing, indeed teasing fashions could be seen as far more sexualised.
But when a woman is breast feeding and the one thing that is focussed on is the breast, then that's a society that needs to a long hard look at it's self.

nb whilst looking up an article on banned art I found this.

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2105848/Girls-13-banned-Salford-Museum-Art-Gallery-YOUNG.html

Is this really political correctness gone mad?

No way am I clicking on a link that has. 13 year old girl in it and the word 'banned'!

it's the Daily Mail, if you can't trust them to be nonce free, who can you trust?

It's been known to be possible to do this for a few years, along with other recently extinct animals like the woolly mammoth. I have heard that some labs in Asia were working on this, presumably to show off their country's technical prowess (there isn't really much point in bringing these animals back, and quite a few reasons not to, which is why it hasn't been done yet).

However I can't see any reference to this story outside that one site, so I think it's probably made up.

EDIT: Also, this is the homepage for the lab the story claims did the cloning: http://www.cdb.riken.jp/en/index.html
The news section is curiously free of any "HOLY FUCK WE CLONED A SABRE TOOTH TIGER" type posts.

I got burned by a fake news website this week when I put an article up on Facebook. The Internet was supposed to set us free in terms of truth and freedom of information, but the sheer amount of fabricated bullshit has made me distrust almost everything I read.

It says something when I consider the Daily Mail to be an accurate source of information - comparatively speaking.

The Daily Mail stretches the truth the way a porn stretches their ########### without it ever quite breaking.

Yeah, well you just have to cross-check with other websites, although that's no guarantee the story is true either. Checking for sources, and being extremely distrustful if there aren't any, helps cut through the bullshit a lot.

Like in that example above, the story names a lab who haven't reported the story on their own website. I'm surprised the story named a lab at all to be honest, I guess they were hoping that simply seeing a source would make the story look trustworthy and people wouldn't actually bother to check it. They're probably right.

I usually do, but you know like the Labour front bench, couldn't see the point so I didn't bother.

A good friend of mine on Facebook, who just happens to be a super lefty (why am I continually surrounded by goddam Commies?) put up a graphic of George Osborne with words stating he failed his Maths GCSE.

I'm no fan of Giddeon, but this kind of thoughtless, lazy, propaganda designed to fit a narrative is pretty despicable.

I often don't check to be honest, I just wanted to know if this particular story was true, would have been kinda cool if it was.

Hah, that's quite a rumour to start.

Imagine you could cross breed them with smaller cats and have pet saber toothed tabbies.

I bet they could really f**k up the local wildlife, whilst being adorable.

I've no idea if he passed, don't much care either.

But heading up the economic policy of an entire country, maybe needs more than a mediocre background in journalism and a 2.1 in history.

In any organisation it would look like jobs for the boys.

That and boo hoo, people being mean to him. Nothing compared to the shellacking Brown got over alleged mental health problems, actual blindness and a bizarre Mail obsession that he might be autistic.
