Hi,
I'm more of a cartoonist but very interested in writing gags
and sketches. I've sent some ideas to Agents but I'm not sure that's
the best way of approaching it.
I'm hoping the forum (which I've only just discovered) will be just
the thing to learn from.

I lived in Hemel and then Redbourn in the 80s. 
Greetings. I once went through Hemel Hempstead as part of a longer coach journey. It looked breathtakingly beautiful in the evening light with the setting sun glinting over the Tesco superstore.

The operative word there is "through" - typical London overspill. Redbourn is nice for people who cannot afford to live in Harpenden.

I find that living in the south east as I do, that the sprawling London metropolis kind of gets in the way somewhat.

When you say "Cartoonist" do you mean animated or the Giles style drawings?
I'm attempting to write a book and am looking for someone to illustrate it.
