Cowboy - Please Be With Me

I have this on "Duane Allman - An Anthology" which I bought this weekend. What a lovely song.

Glen's swansong "I'm Not Gonna Miss You" becomes his first Billboard Hot Country Songs chart entry in 21 years. An ok song and an apt video in the later stages of his illness but a pity about the heavy auto-tune. The excellent "Ghost on the Canvas" had already done the job much better but there's room enough for two.

Johnny Walker meets Status Quo on Radio 2.

Repeat of an interview from 2012.

Status Quo - the Aquostic album.

Emo Radio on Pandora. Nostalgic for my want to be angsty middle school days.

Status Quo - the Aquostic album.

I saw them do Matchstick Men at the end of a TV programme I don't watch. It seemed reasonable enough. My parents still have several of Francis Rossi's ornaments on their mantelpiece. The joys of a boot sale.

Their first new release in eight years?

In God's name, why did they bother if this is the best they can come up with?

Was never a huge Who fan although I recognise their quality. More a case of liking a band rather than loving a band. I don't take to the individual characters. But I did see them live at Glastonbury - for a while. Heard this one on BBC Radio London this afternoon. Actually, I don't think it is bad although it is a retread of sorts.

Checking out more of their stuff. Works nicely as background music.

One of the greatest Beatles covers, with the fabulous bass from Bill Wyman who is 78 today.

Almost a Rolling Stones cover actually as they recorded it before The Beatles.

Rumer on Jools Holland's programme.

I liked Labrinth best on last week's show. Reminded me of Ray Charles.

The Cuban twins were fun too:

Johnny Flynn - The Box

Our local town station has 2 hours of my kind of music with their Rock and Roll Sunday, just finished this pm - fantastic! Solid hits from the late 50s through to the early 70s.

What memories...... :)
