As you've probably heard, MTV is making an American version of The Inbetweeners. Here's the first official publicity photo from the show...

It looks like they're going to be sticking pretty close to the original storylines of the hit UK version if Will's briefcase and the yellow door from Simon's car are anything to go by.

The foursome are Simon (Bubba Lewis), Will (Joey Pollari), Neil (Mark L Young) and Jay (Zack Pearlman). Perhaps the most striking differences are Jay is a bit fatter and Neil has a bit more hair.

My Name Is Earl and Arrested Development writer Brad Copeland is in charge of this remake, with original creators Damon Beesley and Iain Morris also involved in the project, acting as Executive Producers.

The show will start on MTV in America on Monday 20th August at 10:30pm.
