Steve Coogan dating Elle Basey?

Published September 2011

Comedy star Steve Coogan is rumoured to be dating a hot young lingerie model after meeting her on a photoshoot for Loaded magazine.

Coogan, 45, guest edited the mag in character as Norwich radio DJ Alan Partridge for the March 2011 issue, and posed with 21-year-old lingerie and glamour model Elle Basey for the issue.

A source told The People: "Steve and Elle enjoy each other's company. They are taking things slowly but have a lot in common, despite the age difference.

"Steve is a charming man and Elle loves that about him."

Coogan, a divorcee and father-of-one, has previously been linked to Courtney Love. In 2005, tabloid newspaper News Of The World reported that she was pregnant with his child. The story was denied by both parties, and Coogan has recently been a particularly high-profile critic of the paper's owner, News International, amidst the phone hacking scandal.
