Unique art inspired by British comedy

The Ministry of Silly Walks by Jess Wilson

There's a rather cool comedy-inspired art exhibition in London this weekend. 'Work Christmas Party' highlights creations by different artists, with everything themed around the topic of British Comedy.

RefinedGalleries, who are behind the idea, explain: "Work Christmas Party is exactly what it says, a Christmas Party, but with a tangible difference; it is an invitational show for freelance creatives who often miss out on the cultural marker of the working year - the Work Christmas Party. To garner the widest and most diverse content we purposely structured the proposal as a loose brief to the invited artists, asking them to explore the theme of British Comedy - in all its glory."

Only Fools And Horses, Monty Python's Flying Circus, The Young Ones, Hancock's Half Hour, Blackadder, Mr Bean and The Mighty Boosh are amongst the shows celebrated in the exhibition.

Liam Felton from Refined Galleries explains why they picked comedy as the theme: "Comedy and Christmas are a natural match, for as long as I can remember there is a BBC original comedy for Christmas (I am a massive Only Fools And Horses fan!) and additionally it gave us the opportunity to offer a really broad subject to the artists which allowed them to interpret the subject and show their talent and perspective in in their own way."

Curator Sarah Leslie adds: "By intentionally providing the loose brief of British Comedy, we knew that we would have a unifying theme, but would garner some brilliant and witty distillations of British Comedy - in all its glory. Also, the comedy Christmas Special on telly is one of the great British TV traditions!"

Here are six of the pieces. Can you work out what shows they are linked to? Hover over each image for the answer, plus the title of the piece and the name of the artist behind it.
