Sorry, we can no longer answer individual questions about actors or comedies. This is because our inbox has started to overflow with questions and trying to answer them all leaves us with no time to actually update the website. The good news is we can probably guide you to the answer you want...
Firstly, have you looked around our website?
Details about many, many current comedies can be found in our guide section. If you can't find what you're looking for on our website we probably don't know the answer ourselves yet! Here's some common questions we can answer easily though:
When is the comedy show I'm interested in going to be on the TV / radio?
Our schedule features the broadcast times of all the comedy on TV and radio in the next week;
our coming soon list has dates for shows coming a bit later;
and our new and returning lists feature the names of the comedies that are returning but have not yet got an exact schedule set date.
Will there be another series of the comedy I like?
Our programme guides will indicate if the comedy you're interested in has been re-commissioned. Our returning comedy list
also lists all the series with a 'greenlight'.
If you can't see any indication that it is returning on our website then it means we don't know if it will be coming back yet... but don't despair, it can take the channel bosses quite a while to order another series (sometimes it takes them up to a year to decide if they're going to order any more!)... this is even the case for popular shows, because contracts have to be agreed and signed with the writers, actors and directors etc before news can be announced in public.
Can I get tickets to see a comedy being recorded?
See our tickets page for the shows currently being recorded. These tickets are normally free - but you should be aware that recordings for comedies like QI and The Now Show are really popular so can become fully booked very quickly.
If you can't see the show you're interested in listed on our tickets page, it is either fully booked or the recording dates have not yet been announced.
How do I contact my favourite comedy actors?
You should contact actors via their agents. Agents also deal with autograph requests and things like that. To find out who an actor's agent is, search for the actor's name on spotlight.com (UK actors only)
Note: Agents of famous actors get hundreds of letters a month, so you should bear it in mind that you may not get a reply quickly, or even a reply at all.
What other shows has the actor I'm interested in starred in?
Search for their name on IMDb.com to find a CV of all their major TV credits. Sadly there is currently no easy way of finding out about their radio credits though... but this will change when we launch our profiles section later in the year.
Still not got the answer you want?
Don't worry... you can still get an answer via this website. However, rather than emailing us direct and causing our inbox to overflow again, you should post your question on our message board. That way, you're asking 100s of comedy fans all at the same time, rather than just one editor who may not know the answer! We have some very knowledgeable and enthusiastic members who will be happy to help solve your question... and we check the forums regularly too - so you're getting the best of both worlds by posting on our message board instead of emailing us!
